TRAVERSE CITY -- The superintendent for the area's largest school district will be with the school system for another year.
That's because on December 19th the Traverse City Area Public Schools board of education gave superintendent Steve Cousins an "Exceeds Expectations" for his performance review.
The school board will officially act to extend Cousins' contract for one more year at the January 9th board meeting.
At Cousins' request TCAPS says he will not receive an increase in salary in recognition of the financial challenges that the school district faced during the past year.
