PELLSTON -- The Emmet County Sheriff says last week's bank robbery in Pellston may be related to two bank robberies that happened back in June.

The man shown in this sketch robbed the Lake Osceola State Bank in Lake County and the banks branch in Wellston in June. Investigators believe this is the same man who hit the Citizen's National Bank on November 16, 2011. The robber entered the bank at approximately 9:36 a.m. and made off with more than $100,000.

Sheriff Pete Wallin states, “We believe this incident is related to two other bank robberies in Manistee and Lake Counties that occurred in June of 2011.”

Sheriff Wallin continues, “During these investigations a composite drawing was composed of the suspect.”

It's that drawing that he hopes will help catch the Pellston robber. Sheriff Wallin is asking the public, particularly gas stations and hotels, to take a look at the drawing to see if he was a customer or had stayed at these establishments.  If you have any information you’re encouraged to contact D/Sgt.
