TRAVERSE CITY -- The Traverse City District Library played host to a very special birthday celebration Sunday afternoon.
Back in 1916 Liz Bannister of Traverse City was born and today she celebrated a big milestone -- her 95th birthday!
Folks at the Traverse City District Library wanted to throw her a party and say "thank you" for her continued participation in the community.
Every Sunday, for the last 10 years , Liz has sat behind the piano at the library and entertained hundreds of people with her musical talent.
Liz says performing at the library is part of her volunteer work and that she loves to share her passion for music with others.
If you're interested in watching Liz perform, she plays every Sunday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the District Library in Traverse City.
