TRAVERSE CITY -- Our local Toys for Tots kicked off with a huge celebration Saturday afternoon.  The Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City was filled with kids who were enjoying a variety of fun activities.

Santa made a visit and so did some jolly Christmas carolers at the big celebration.

7&4 news was also well-represented at the event, Storm Team Chief Meteorologist Mark Watkins spent the afternoon taking pictures with his fans.

Organizers say the event is a reminder for the community that toys for tots is up and running.
