ALANSON, MI -- Alanson is a small town in northern Michigan. But it plays a big role in protecting our freedom.

“The graduating class of 2009 had 12 graduates. I believe it was a six-to-six ratio of male to female. Out of the six males we had three enlist in the military,” said Nicholas Robbins.

Aside from the class of 2009, there are currently three Alanson soldiers stationed at Camp Shelby Mississippi getting ready to deploy to Afghanistan.
