TRAVERSE CITY -- When you think about the United Way of Northwest Michigan one of the big questions revolves around where the donations actually come from.  Executive director of the United Way of Northwest Michigan, Steve Wade says a group of volunteers works together to decide who gets the allocated money. 

Wade says he is not a part of this decision making process.  However, specific businesses and non-profits in the area who apply for the donations are eligible to receive specific amounts.
