MECOSTA CO. -- A 15-year-old Fork Township boy is facing charges in several crimes across Mecosta County.

Early Sunday morning, deputies responded to an alarm at the Riverside Sunoco in Barryton.   This was the third time the business has been broken into in the past month.

After viewing surveillance video, deputies were given suspect information by detectives who have been involved in the month long investigation.  Evidence from the crime scene was found at the teens home and the suspect confessed to several other break-ins.

The teen admitted to the September 9th break-in and Sunday's break-in of the Sunoco, but claimed not to be involved break-in on September 19th. He also admitted damaging the Pit Stop Grocery on September 9th, breaking into a Sheridan Township cabin just prior to the Sunoco break-in Sunday, and being involved in the break-ins of the Martiny Bait and Tackle on 7/01/11 and 7/13/11

Deputies say the same teenager is also responsible for breaking into and damaging the Chippewa Elementary School in June of 2010.

The 15-year-old was arrested and taken to the Muskegon River Youth Center where he remains in custody. He is scheduled for a probate hearing on Monday.
