GAYLORD, MI -- This weekend, Gaylord will celebrate the end of harvest season bavarian style.

The 3rd Annual Oktoberfest kicks off downtown, and for you who don't like the chilly weather, in tents, where authentic bavarian food like brats and sauercraut and german soup will be made by local bavarian chefs.  Of course, there will be plenty of beer.

The event will raise money for local service organizations and live entertainment will keep you occupied.

"We have it as a celebration, like all Oktoberfests, a celebration of the harvest season, also to celebrate our community. Gaylord, being the "Alpine Village," it's only, it only makes sense we have an Oktoberfest," said Gaylord City Manager Joe Duff.
