GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY -- Hundreds of local families need your help putting food on the table this fall.

The Father Fred Foundation kicked off it's annual fall food drive Saturday morning.

Folks are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items or money at nine different grocery stores throughout the area.

The drive utilizes the energy of nearly 350 volunteers. This year the Oleson Foundation will match the value of food and cash donations up to $20,000 dollars.

Organizers say this year the need is bigger than ever.  The drive lasts until October 1st.
