It's one of the hottest trends in planning from the state level all the way down to your block, and you are going to be hearing a lot more about it soon. President Obama has stressed the importance of placemaking and Governor Snyder says it could be one of the things that helps Michigan compete on the global level when it comes to bringing new people and new investments to our state.
