MORTON TWP, MI -- Friday evening, state police responded to an accident involving an SUV and a bicyclist.

Troopers discovered that the bicyclist, 14, was traveling west on Pierce Road in Morton Township, Mecosta County and suddenly turned into the path of the SUV.

Investigators say the driver of the SUV could not avoid the collision. 

The teen was flown to a hospital in Grand Rapids for treatment. They are said to be in stable condition.
