GAYLORD, MI -- Three area golf resorts could soon be under new ownership.
The Otsego Golf and Ski Club and Black Forest Wilderness Valley in Gaylord, along with the Manistee National Golf Resort, are being put up for bid by the current owners, Osprey Recreational Properties.
The move is being made by Osprey to focus more on their commercial holdings.
CEO Mike Collins says there has been interest in the clubs, and a sealed-bid auction is an attempt to complete a sale.
"We don't have to sell, we are really responding to market interest, and if we can find the right buyer for one or more of the properties, we'll sell them, and if we don't, we won't, and we'll keep them and continue to invest in them and grow them," said Collins.
The deadline for bid is October 5th.
If there is an agreement, Collins says the exchange in ownership would happen with the least noticeable impact on customers of the clubs.
