PETOSKEY, MI -- In Emmet County, monster trucks will kick off the Emmet-Charlevoix County Fair this weekend.

This year, there will be two monster truck shows scheduled for Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.

The weekend's festivities kick off the week-long fair, which will include a carnival and animal shows.

And new this year, Hometown Idol will echo through the fairgrounds and local musical talents will compete to become Emmet County's best singer.
