GRAND TRAVERSE CO. -- A head-on crash on the Grand Traverse - Leelanau County line left at least two people with serious injuries.

It happened around 10:00 a.m. Friday at the intersection of E. Traverse Highway (M-72 West) and Gray Road.  The crash sent both vehicles into area fields.  Rescue crews had to use the jaws of life to get two people from a vehicle.

M-72 West and Gray Road were both shut down while crews were on scene.  The conditions of those involved are not known at this time.
