GAYLORD, MI -- If you have an old cellphone that's doing nothing but collecting dust, you can drop them off at Pak-Mail in Gaylord for their Cellphones for Soldiers program.
Pak-Mail is accepting the cellphones which will be refurbished and sent with a calling card to troops overseas.
More than 10,000 phones have been collected and sent by the 300 Pak-Mail stores across the country.
And new this year, the business will collect food items and send them to troops for free.
"We do have a contact over there that we're going to send all of these packages to and like I said, we're going to include phone cards, etc, I think it's a good cause," said Wayne Schreck at Pak-Mail.
They'll collect everything except pork products or anything alcohol-based. They do encourage homemade treats like cookies and brownies.
If you're interested in helping out, contact the Gaylord Pak-Mail at (989)732-1558.
The program runs through the end of August.
