EMMET CO., MI -- 27 year-old Petoskey man Cody Mork has been arraigned for child abuse charges.  He's accused of shaking a three month old baby and causing life-changing injuries.

Satavian Rostar is now a one year old.  He's blind and has severe head trauma.

His father, Devin, said last August, Mork was babysitting the boy, and when he picked Satavian up, he knew something was wrong.

Devin took him to the hospital and Satavian had a fractured pelvis and head injuries.

"I hope that justice is served and that he does the time he deserves, I mean something near the maximum sentence," said Devin Rostar.

Mork was charged with first and second degree child abuse, both felonies, and an habitual offender charge.

Because of frequent trips to Devos Hospital in Grand Rapids, Devin, a single parent, has quit his job to take care of his son.
