PELLSTON -- You will soon have a new direct flight option from northern Michigan to the windy city.

Pellston Regional Airport will soon be adding flights to Chicago.   Starting July 1,  Lakeshore Express Aviation is offering non-stop flights from Chicago's Midway Airport to Pellston. This is the first non-stop flight from Pellston to Chicago.  Tickets for the flight will costs about $185 each way.

The flight takes about an hour, versus about 6 to 7 hours to drive the distance. Planes will take off from Chicago on Thursday, Friday & Sunday.  Flights will be available out of Pellston on Friday and Sunday.
