TRAVERSE CITY -- A reward is now being offered for information leading to Carly Lewis, the 16 year old Traverse City girl who has been missing for more than a week.
Police say she was last seen June 2nd at a friend’s house on Garfield Avenue. They say she left to meet another friend at Glen's and hasn't been seen since.
Investigators have followed leads from as far North as Alpena to as far South as West Branch. Now they're offering $2500 to anyone who can help find her.
7&4's Lauren Amstutz spoke with police and Carly's mom for the latest.
It's been a grueling eight days for Carly Lewis's mother Susie.
Susie Lewis says, "We always heard from her something some people say oh she does this all the time but its never been more than a day."
Susie describes her daughter as a beautiful, sweet girl who loves her dog Yoda and hanging out with friends. She says Carly has also been going through some sort of phase, skipping school even staying out all night, but nothing like this.
Lewis says, "We always heard from her. Some people say oh she does this all the time, but its never been more than a day."
Her disappearance is also raising questions with the Traverse City Police Department who has been looking for clues around the clock.
Captain Brian Heffner says, "It’s just unbelievable how somebody who was so active, so social, within a 15 minute span completely ceases all contact."
Police have gone door to door canvassing the areas Carly would have walked to get to Glen's. The Coast Guard even joined the search with flyovers. That's not all.
Captain Heffner says, "Traverse City Parks and Recreation and the Traverse City Fire Department assisted us at the dam near Union Street. If somebody fell in the river, the grate area would help. That turned out negative as well."
With no luck so far, they're hoping someone comes forward with more information so they bring this missing teen home.
Susie Lewis says, "Her birthday is coming up and that’s hard. Next Thursday she is going to be 17 and i want her home so we can celebrate together."
Carly was last seen wearing a pink tank top, black leggings, and had a pink backpack. If you have any information call the Silent Observer Hot Line 231-947-8477.
