ANTRIM CO. -- The Emergency Response Team and the Antrim County Sheriff's Office helped bring a peaceful end to what could have been a dangerous situation.

Deputies were called to a home in the northwest corner of the county around 10:30 Friday morning.  The man, who had guns in his possession,  was threatening to kill himself and his dogs.

Negotiators convinced the man to get help several hours later.  He was taken to the hospital for mental evaluation. No one was hurt and no charges are pending at this time.
