TRAVERSE CITY -- The United Way of Northwest Michigan aims to help people find specific resources within their community.  Part of those resources includes volunteer opportunities.  Several opportunities are taking place this summer throughout the region.

Executive director of the United Way of Northwest Michigan, Steve Wade says it's easy for people to get involved especially with major events going on this summer including the Cherry Festival and the Traverse City Film Festival.
