TRAVERSE CITY -- With rising gas prices and people's busy schedules, Smart Commute Week is one way to keep some money in your wallet and get some exercise at the same time.  The event that goes from June 6th through June 12th and includes carpooling, bike riding and even taking the BATA buses during your daily commute.

Tim Brick, owner of Brick Wheels in Traverse City says if you choose to ride your bike there is equipment to make the daily commute easier than ever.  This includes luggage carriers and even a place to put your cell phone.  It's almost a modern way of traveling by bike.
