EAST JORDAN -- A Charlevoix County man is dead after being hit by a car.

Jessie Sulkowski,  22, of East Jordan was walking home late last Thursday night on Maple Street when he was hit.  He died from his injuries Friday morning.

The 30-year-old driver of the car told police she did not see Sulkowski, who was wearing all black when he was hit.  The East Jordan Police Chief says the investigation continues.
