Bus service will stall out if millage doesn't pass

BENZIE CO. BUS -- The bus system in a Northern Michigan community is at risk of shutting down if voters don't step up.

Thursday, less than 50 supporters of the Benzie Bus System participated in the "Keep It Rolling" rally. Those who attended say the buses help more than 4,000 people, mostly the elderly and disabled, get to work, Munson Medical Center, and school.

Tuesday, May 3rd,  voters will decide whether to approve a .50 mills that would renew operating funds for the next five years. If passed, the measure would cost a resident with a $150,000 home $37.50 a year.
