CADILLAC -- Governor Rick Snyder took part in his first Governor's Breakfast in Cadillac Tuesday.
The Cadillac Area Chamber of Commerce organizes the community breakfast each year. About 300 protestors from across the state made their voices heard outside The Wex.
The foundation of the Governor's Breakfast is centered on a business and education collaboration. Hundreds of area students were also in attendance.
Governor Snyder addressed the crowd for about 30 minutes, touching on a variety of topics, but clearly his focus was creating jobs.
The governor championed the changes he's calling for when it comes to business taxes, government regulations and economic development.
When it comes to the budget and cuts, Governor Snyder did discuss what he calls the "shared sacrifices" that he is asking all Michiganders to make in the short term.
