TRAVERSE CITY -- A new traveling exhibit kicks off Sunday in Traverse City and it’s letting folks get an inside look at the human body.
It's called "The Bodies Human: Anatomy in Motion" exhibit and it's open to the public starting Sunday afternoon at the Dennos Museum.
The exhibit features over 100 authentic human specimens that show an up close look inside the skeletal, muscular, respiratory, and circulatory systems.
The bodies have all been preserved through a procedure called Plastination, a technique that replaces bodily fluids with reactive plastics. This is a process that can take anywhere from one month to an entire year.
The rates for this special exhibition will be:
- $15 for adults
- $12 for children (12 and under)
- $10 for members (adults or children)
HOURS:
Mon-Sat 10 am - 5 pm
