TRAVERSE CITY -- This Friday, a local Traverse City company is giving back to the community.

One Up Web will be partnering with Michigan Blood to host a blood drive from noon to four.

Employees of the company have signed up for appointments, but organizers are encouraging you to stop by as well.

A bloodmobile will be parked in the parking lot right along M-22 just north of Traverse City.

They say if you give blood, your donation will help people right here in the area.

One Up Web Human Resources Director, Anne Rix said, "One of the reasons that we are really, really like working with this organization and one of the reasons why many of our employees donate is because that they know that all their donations go directly to our local hospital, Munson Medical Center."

This is the second year that One Up Web has hosted a blood drive with Michigan Blood.

Event coordinators expect a great turn-out.  Especially since Friday is supposed to be a nice, sunny day.

They also want to remind you that your donation can save a life.

If you would like to donate, make sure to eat and drink something before hand and bring along a photo ID.
