TRAVERSE CITY -- You may find this hard to swallow but foods like carrots, honey, green beans, and rice turned into masterpieces Saturday at the "You Are What You Eat" show.
The edible art show kicked off at 10:00am at The Village of Grand Traverse Commons. Local farmers and merchants cooked up some outrageously delicious art for the second annual event.
With a donation of one dollar market goers had the opportunity to vote for their favorite creation.
Edible Art Participant Mini Minervini says, "The money is collected and all of it goes to local food banks that's why it's great for food families to participate kids love this because they get to see food in a new light."
Spring Hollow Farmer Diana Jelenek says, "We work with food everyday as a farmer and we love to cook so this is a way to let our creative side be expressed by creating something fun and unusual."
Folks also had a chance to bid on the edible art work and take it home to really enjoy.
