MDOT open house to review proposed plans for M-37 reconstruction

WEXFORD CO., MI -- MDOT has a meeting planned to discuss the proposed reconstruction project planned for M-37 in Buckley, Wexford, and Hanover Townships.

The meeting will be held at Buckley Village Hall on Wednesday, March 2nd, starting at 4pm and going until 6pm.

MDOT is planning to reconstruct M-37 from 4 Road north to the Grand Traverse County line in Wexford and Hanover townships in Wexford County. This project, part of the MDOT 2011-2015 Five-Year Program, is currently scheduled for 2011.

The proposed work includes crushing and replacement of existing pavement, new curb and gutter, reconstruction of the large curve west of Buckley, and storm sewer. The project also includes decorative lighting, decorative sidewalk and landscaping from West Street to Carl Street in the village of Buckley.

A short presentation on the current design, traffic control plans, and a proposed project schedule will be given. Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity to talk one-on-one with MDOT officials.
