TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- Strap up your cross country skis!

The VASA Festival of Cross Country Ski Races is coming Feb. 11-13, 2011. The events include the 35^th Annual North American VASA Race on Saturday morning. Race registration is online at www.vasa.org and in person Friday afternoon and evening, and Saturday morning starting at 7:00 am.

The Hagerty Insurance Gran Traverse Races are held on Sunday morning. Race registration for this classic technique ski race starts at 7:30 am on Sunday. The VASA Valentine’s Ski Tour is Sunday starting at 1:00 p.m. The tour is an untimed event benefitting the Munson Women’s Heart Health Program.

As a fundraiser for the Traverse High School Nordic Ski Team, there is also a $8 carbo-loading Spaghetti Feast open to the public Friday February 11 from 5pm to 8 pm at the Timber Ridge Banquet Hall.

All of the events take place at Timber Ridge Resort, 4050 Hammond Rd. E, Traverse City.
