Financial aid for college will be the topic of a free program at North Central Michigan College on Thursday, January 27, 2011. North Central’s financial aid office is hosting the program as a community service for parents and students attending or planning to attend any college or university. The program will take place from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the college library on the Petoskey campus. The program will include an explanation of the categories, types and sources of financial aid, the cost of attending college, expected family contributions, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and scholarship searches. For more information on the program, contact Virginia Panoff, North Central’s director of financial aid at 231-348-6698.
