KALKASKA, MI -- The Kalkaska County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly snowmobile accident in Springfield Township.

Deputies said the crash happened around 10:20 p.m. Friday.

David Mack, 41, lost control of his snowmobile and stuck a tree, deputies said. Speed is believed to be a factor.

Mack was pronounced dead at the scene.
