CRAWFORD CO., MI -- Many areas of Northern Michigan are considered seasonal, and Hartwick Pines may be one of those places.
But they say the winter beauty is open for all to come and be a part of at the park.
There are several trails set up, for snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and all you need is your state parks recreational passport to take advantage.
Also, this year you can take part in guided hikes and learn how to lace snow shoes.
"Everybody that lives in Northern Michigan knows that we can't do anything about the winter, so why not join it and enjoy it while you're out there, get some exercise, get off the couch and away from the TV set, and get some activity," said Park Interpreter Craig Kasmer.
Now if you head out there, you have to check this out -- Craig Kasmer says he has trained the chick-a-dee's to eat out of his hand -- and he'll let you try it!
