CHARLEVOIX, MI -- A 16-year old Ellsworth girl is in critical condition at Munson Medical after a weekend car crash.

Sandra Dee McDonald  lost control of the vehicle on the snow covered roads and struck a tree.  McDonald was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by the Banks Township Fire Department.  McDonald was injured in the accident and was transported by the East Jordan EMS to directly to Munson Hospital in Traverse City.

The one vehicle accident occurred on Six Mile Lake Road approximately one mile North of Premore Road in South Arm Township.

She remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
