GREEN LAKE TOWNSHIP -- The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of man in Green Lake Township.

The preliminary investigation shows that Jack Ambrose Headlee, 68, and a 30 year-old man who is not being identified at this time were involved in an altercation outside a home on South Long Lake Road in Green Lake Township around 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Investigators say during the altercation Headlee fell off a porch  and was apparently struck by the 30 year old. 

Headlee called 911.  When deputies arrived they say Headlee did not have any apparent injuries, but there was concern over his condition so the deputies requested an ambulance. 

Headlee was transported to Munson Medical Center where he later died.

The cause of death is not known at this time.

There have been no arrests.
