ACME TWP. -- A Central Lake woman is dead after a crash in Grand Traverse County.

It happened Wednesday around 7:20 p.m. on U.S. 31 near Yuba Road in Acme Township.

The initial investigation shows that a south bound Ford pick-up truck lost control and traveled left of center colliding head on with a north bound Saturn Vue.

The driver of the south bound pick-up, a 24 year old Traverse City woman was not injured.

The Saturn Vue left the roadway and rolled over pinning the driver, Rose Williams, 50, of Central Lake  in the vehicle. Williams died at the scene.

The passenger of the Saturn, William's son, was treated at Munson for injuries.

This incident remains under investigation.
