CHEBOYGAN, MI -- So you're an aspiring entrepreneur, but have no idea how to get a business started.
Well, there are new options tonight to get you on the right track.
North Central Michigan College and the Cheboygan Economic Development Group have launched a new business development program in Cheboygan.
Rather than going away for school, you can get a one year certificate and the foundation for a two year associates degree thru night courses at Cheboygan High School.
"We want to see Cheboygan County improve its economic status. We know Michigan is struggling, we know individual counties are struggling, and hopefully the certificate of development will help some of the people who are currently unemployed or underemployed in Cheboygan," said Cameron Burnet-Koch, President of NCMC.
"We're just really excited, it's going to identify some of those people that we haven't been able to identify, and second, it's going to give them the skill set," said Bud Darnell, President, Cheboygan Economic Development Group.
Classes will begin in Cheboygan next semester.
