TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- The first ever Traverse City Children's Book Festival happened Saturday afternoon at the City Opera House.

The festival offered a sampling of some of the best children's books from Michigan and National publishers.

Local non profits also took part with fun, kid-friendly activities and crafts. 

Also the Best Selling Author Carl Sams showed an exclusive of his film called "First Snow in the Woods" which is based off his latest book.
