GREEN LAKE TWP. -- A death investigation is underway in Grand Traverse County after a man is found in an area lake.

The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office was called to Diamond Park and Euclid Avenue in Green Lake Township around 4:00 a.m. Friday after someone saw a truck in Green Lake.

Deputies say the truck was about 50 yards off shore and no one was inside at the time.  Deputies found an unresponsive man in the water nearby.

Deputies attempted CPR and he was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as Timothy Jones, 48, of Interlochen..
