Man drowns in Wexford County

Sheriff's officials say the man was swimming with his daughter when the accident happened in Springville Township.
SPRINGVILLE TOWNSHIP (AP) -- A 33 year old Holland man drowned while swimming in a creek in the Manistee River.
The Wexford County Sheriff's office says identifies James Odell and his 13 year old daughter were swimming Saturday evening in Seaton Creek in Springville Township. The site is near the Hodenpyl Dam on the Manistee River, about 25 miles southwest of Traverse City.
Sheriff's investigators say Odell began struggling in the water, and a passer-by used his boat to pull him to shore.
Odell was pronounced dead at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
