The Midnight Ride starts in Grand Rapids at Midnight and will end up in St. Ignace
BOYNE CITY, MI -- Motorcycle enthusiasts: If you're willing to go for a long midnight stroll, you'll have your chance this weekend and will be helping a good cause.
The 24th Annual Midnight Ride begins in Grand Rapids Saturday morning at midnight.
The ride will head north, stopping at several different cities and end up in Saint Ignace at eight in the morning.
The cause is to help raise awareness for Juvenile Diabetes.
We talked to a couple local participants and they say it's a ride you don't want to miss.
"Oh most definitely. Yes, they ride usually with 5,000 to 8,000 bikes and raise a lot of money, and it's just a lot of fun, you get to be with your neighbors, your friends, your co-workers, it's just a lot of fun," said Curt and Brenda Sims.
The Midnight Ride is free to take part in and you don't have to start from Grand Rapids.
Brenda Sims plans to join the bikes in Gaylord when they head through around 5:30 in the morning on Saturday.
