CHEBOYGAN -- An upper peninsula man enters a plea for charges he sexually assaulted a young child.

Joseph Sherwood of Shingleton made the "no contest" plea to two counts of third degree CSC.

Officials say Sherwood assaulted the child two times in Cheboygan County where he lived at the time.

He faces up to fifteen years in prison when he is sentenced next month.
