EMMET CO. -- Two men are arrested for an armed robbery in Emmet County, a year after the crime took place.

The Emmet County Sheriff arrested two men for their involvement in the Boyne Highlands armed robbery.

The sheriff's office executed a search warrant at the home of one of the suspects Friday in Traverse City with the assistance of the Traverse City Police Department.  The other man was arrested in Petoskey.

Jame David Rakoniewski of Petoskey is charged with Armed Robbery/Conspiracy to commit Armed Roberry/Habitual Offender 4th. Bond is set at $250,000

John Carl Ruppen of Traverse City is charged with Armed Robbery/Conspiracy to commit Armed Robbery/Felony Firearm/Possession of a Firearm by a felon/Habitual Offender 4th. Bond is set at $250,000

Sheriff Wallin praises the efforts of his law enforcement division in solving this crime and expects more arrests in this case.
