I was born and raised in Traverse City and still enjoy the National Cherry Festival!  I am sure I'm not alone - but many residents I've talked to tend to stay away from the crowds this time of year.

The Cherry Festival is a lot of additional work for the crew at 7 & 4 News ... but it is also a lot of fun when it comes to getting to take part in special events such as the media reception with the Blue Angel pilots. 

I am attaching some photos of the event ... and stay tuned ... I will get to be a part of this year's air show and ride in "Fat Albert" on Saturday!!  I'm very excited about it, and am crossing my fingers I don't get air sick!!
