Horse North out of Fife Lake teamed up with Black Star Farms and Left Foot Charley to host the "Run for the Rose`s".

The event was held at the Village of Grand Traverse Commons. Crazy derby hats are welcome... but the main event is the 100 yard foot race. Participants had to carry their cups without spilling - and there were prizes for the top finishers.

Those runners also get to taste test the new rose` wines from the two wineries.

Five dollar donations go toward helping abused and neglected horses out at Horse North.
