OCEANA COUNTY -- Oceana County Sheriff deputies and Detectives are trying to identify skeletal remains found in the Manistee National Forest.

The remains were found Wednesday by loggers near Pines Point in Green Wood Twp. off of S. 168th Ave.  The scene was searched most of the day Thursday and investigators found more bones spread over a half acre.

Officials say the remains appear to have been at the location for a considerable amount of time, possible more than a year.
