CONWAY -- UPDATE: U.S. 31 is back open after traffic was rerouted for much of the day Thursday.  Firefighters believe the fire at Conway Towing may have been caused by an electrical issue.

The fire was spotted by neighbors of Conway Towing on U.S. 31 around noon Thursday.  A short while later an ember ignited a fire in a home across the street.  That home, belonging to the Hewitt family was destroyed.  The Red Cross is helping the family with a temporary place to stay.
