SUTTONS BAY, MI -- Its been almost 50 years in the making and now the entire Suttons Bay community is rallying around their basketball team.

Hundreds gathered for an assembly at the Suttons Bay high school gym Thursday to send off the boys basketball team.  Wednesday night, the Norsemen beat Rudyard to advance to the state semi-finals for the first time since the 1960's.  Suttons Bay is riding a 24 game winning streak into tomorrow's Class C state semi-final against Bridgman.  Head Coach Todd Hursey says its great to see the way the community is rallying around the team.

There will be no school for all Suttons Bay Public Schools on Thursday, March 25. That's because, according to the Suttons Bay public schools website, "Everyone is going to the Breslin Center at MSU."
