MACKINAC ISLAND -- Two women are dead after falling off a large hill on their snowmobiles on Mackinac Island.

59-year-old Karen Schwarck of Mackinac Island and her sister, 57-year-old Edith Bonno of Canton were reported missing around 10:15 p.m. Sunday when they didn't return home from a snowmobile ride.

About four hours into the search, the women's bodies were found at the bottom of a steep hill on West Bluff Drive.  Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
