Four more days until Thanksgiving - but the Christmas spirit is in full swing at this year's Festival of Trees.

It's also a fundraiser for the local Zonta Club. And again the event is at the Hagerty Center on the Great Lakes Campus of Northwestern Michigan College. The weekend long event ends Sunday.

Proceeds from the sale of wreaths and holiday decorations, silent auction items, and the trees go to the Zonta Club, which works to help women and children in the community.  That money then goes back into local programs.

The focus of the festival is the Christmas trees, decorated by amateurs, professionals, and even local school kids. Organizers say selling these decorative masterpieces at the festival is one of their biggest fundraisers...and it also gives people the chance to get a jump start on holiday shopping.
