Crews were called to Traverse City's Cherry Capital Airport Friday morning for a potential emergency.
The call came into the airport control tower around 9:45 a.m. For a United Express Jet that reported its flaps were not working. Emergency vehicles were deployed to the runway and nearby Three Mile Road was shut down as a precaution.
Sheriff's deputies were also on stand-by on Garfield and South Airport Roads. The United Express pilot was able to land the plane and taxi to the gate without incident.
